It’s important to be aware of our own tendency to give from a desire to feel good about ourselves, rather than from an acknowledgement of our connection to all people. Letting go of our self-importance allows us to see that, regardless of appearances, we are all givers and receivers. When we are in the position of the giver, we honor those we are helping when we remember the many people who have helped us. Then we can look the person we are helping in the eye, aware that we are making contact with a human being who is our equal. Continue reading →
Today, my 75-year-old grandpa who has been blind from cataracts for almost 15 years said to me, “Your grandma is just the most beautiful thing, isn’t she?” I paused for a second and said, “Yes she is. I bet you miss seeing that beauty on a daily basis.” “Sweety,” my grandpa said, “I still see her beauty every day. In fact, I see it more now than I used to when we were young.” MMT Continue reading →
As a result, we ate comfort food and drank alcohol to numb our wounds and fill our voids. We worked late nights on purpose to avoid unresolved conflicts at home. We started holding grudges, playing mind games, and subtly deceiving others and ourselves to get ahead. And when it didn’t work out, we lived above our means, bought things we didn’t need, and ate and drank some more just to make ourselves feel better again. Continue reading →
Happiness is found in the choices we make every day. It’s all about thinking good thoughts, speaking kind words, taking good actions, and enjoying the small things in life all while chasing after the big ones.
Reblogged from The Borscht of times, the Würste of times: I am amazed by how many individuals mess up every new day with yesterday. They insist on bringing into today the failures of yesterday and in so doing, they pollute … Continue reading →
let this be not the last time
that i cry in my pool of tears
even if my heart became weary and tired
to lose the feeling is my greatest fear.
let this not be the last night
that i sit in my on sorrow
that would give me hope to fight
as the day brings a new tomorrow. Continue reading →

and wipe my tears when i would cry. Continue reading →
1. Love is best measured by what it does and not only what is said.
2. Anyone is capable of anything, but it doesn’t need to be accepted or tolerated.
3. Pain is temporary, but it doesn’t need to consume one’s mind.
4. The quickest way to get over a lover is to find another.

♥ “Out of the depths of my happy heart wells a great tide of love and prayer for this priceless treasure that is confided to my lifelong keeping. You cannot see its waves as they flow toward you, darling, but in these lines you will hear…the distant beating of its surf.” —Mark Twain to Olivia Langdon Continue reading →

To let go of the future means to let go of demands, insistence, attachment, requirements, having to have, control. It means tipping your hat to life. It means blessing it. It means having happiness in mind and not requiring how it is to be funneled. Continue reading →
i now truly believe, that we would always have other loves. other lovers, other partners. but true love is deeply engraved inside our hearts. that no matter how hard we try to erase it, it would only scar us even more. even if we polish our hearts, sooner or later, it will still stale and the scars we tried to wipe off will always show. true love is engraved in us. there is no running away from it. because then, it will only leave us feeling alone …in a world where we thought would be enough to compensate for the love we have always looked for all throughout our lives… Continue reading →
May you come to know, see, feel, and experience more and more of that world, which is your world, which is all that is real. May you come to accept, with unconditional love, non-judgment, and non-attachment all that tempts your five lower senses into believing the unreal as being real.
each one of us, our lives are scripted from Him, i know in my heart that if we just pay attention to little details that we take for granted, there is something there that would make us see what we really are here for. if only we step outside the box, screw other people’s opinion of who we are— really are and not what they expect of us.. then surely, we would be able to know who we are… if we break free from our own chains. after all, at the end of the day… we are all that we have.
