How to Find Inner Peace

Are you in a very disturbed state of mind and are longing for some inner peace? Read on to know about finding inner peace.

Today the whole world is in a state of conflict and so are we. There are conflicts within us and outside us. External conflicts are a dime a dozen and of seemingly gigantic proportions. However, what’s funny is that the ones inside our heads are really the conflicts that trouble us the most. We have forever been obsessed with materialistic desires and we think (yes, we think) that fulfilling these desires is the key to true happiness. But is that really so? Sure, a new car, the latest state-of-the-art gadget, a swanky apartment, (for some, a new wife or a new husband falls into this category), will provide a feeling of happiness and content. However, this kind of ‘happiness’ is superficial and short lived. Does this happiness translate into inner peace? No, it doesn’t. Well, then how does one find inner peace? Read on to know the answer to this question.
Inner Peace – An Explanation

Before you go about finding it, you should know what exactly inner peace is. Only then will you realize that you have found it, if and when you find it. Inner peace is a state of being, a state of mind. It is when you are oblivious of everything else around you and are one with the universe. When you are at peace with yourself, nothing, and no other thing around you matters any more. It is a spiritual connection between your body, your mind, your soul and the soul of the universe. Finding inner peace is an integral part of spirituality and it plays a major role in a person’s spiritual growth. Nobody can give you inner peace, it is something that you must discover on your own.

Finding Inner Peace and Happiness
There is no formula as such. Inner peace is not something that you can get at the press of a button or in exchange for a hundred dollar bill. It is about managing your mind and your energies. Inner peace is a state where your mind is absolutely still, a state where your whole body and soul experiences a newfound freedom, a state of being bathed in a sea of positive energy, a state where you are cleansed of all traces of negativity. Achieving such a state is something that is rarer than the rarest of happenings. To understand what I’m talking about, here’s a simple exercise for you to do.

Stop all other activities that you may be doing right now. Lean back into your chair and close your eyes. Let your breathing remain normal. Listen to the sound of your breathing. As you inhale, feel the purity of oxygen entering your lungs and spreading to each and every part of your body. As you exhale, visualize all the negativities and impurities leaving your body in the form of carbon dioxide. Now slowly, start clearing your mind of all thoughts. It’s difficult and it requires a considerable amount of patience, practice and mind control. In technical terms, just format your mind and shut down your brain. Remain still and let your body go about doing its involuntary functions. Experience the sudden stillness and the silence that you hear. I bet you have never known silence to be so loud. Experience a state of oneness with the universe. Break all the mental chains that may be holding you back. Accept yourself as being someone special in the Creator’s scheme of things. The state that you now find yourself in is known as inner peace. It is known as inner peace because you are at peace with yourself.
In addition to the above exercise, keep the following things in mind. They too contribute in the pursuit of inner peace:

Be grateful. Stop cribbing about what you don’t have. Be grateful for all that you have, for all that the Almighty has blessed you with. Look around you. There are millions of people who are less fortunate than you. Gratefulness has a special connection with peace within.

Accept yourself the way you are. You are what you are, for a reason. Don’t complain. Be comfortable with yourself, your body, your mind, your soul. It will help in lessening your internal conflicts.

Meditate more frequently. Regular meditation as well as certain yoga meditation techniques help in getting control over the mind in a positive way. Connect with nature. If possible, take time out and visit a quiet place – it could be a park, a lake, a hilltop or somewhere in the countryside. Close your eyes, disconnect yourself from the world and connect with nature. It is an amazing way of discovering inner peace.

These were some things you should keep in mind if you wish to find inner peace. Once again, nobody can give it to you. It is something for you to discover and cherish.

9 Things You Need to Chill Out About

9 Things You Need to Chill Out About

9 Things You Need to Chill Out About

The world isn’t just the way it is.
It’s how you understand it to be.

When it comes to the following, you need to chill out, change your thinking, and adjust your approach.

  1. The few things that aren’t going right. – When things go wrong, take a moment to be thankful for all the other things that are still going right.  And if you’re struggling to be thankful for what you have, be thankful for what you have escaped.  Sometimes the best gifts in life are the troubles you don’t have.  Read Stumbling on Happiness.
  2. Trying to label everyone and everything. – Sometimes you’ve just got to take people and situations for what they are, appreciate them, and not try to label them or change them.  This unconditional acceptance doesn’t mean you’re giving up your freewill or waving the white flag – that’s quitting.  Instead, it means you’re willing to let go of who you think people should be and how you think things are supposed to be, so you can fall in love with who they truly are and how life really is.
  3. Worrying about what everyone else thinks. – The minute you stop overwhelming your mind with caring about what everyone else thinks, andstart doing what you feel in your heart is right, is the minute you will finally feel freedom.  In fact, you can end half your troubles immediately by no longer permitting people to tell you what you want.  You have to put your life in your own hands.  Others may be able stop you temporarily, but only you can do it permanently.
  4. Wasting time on the wrong people. – You cannot make someone respect you; all you can do is be someone who can be respected.  The rest is up to them.  No matter how much you care some people just won’t care back.  It’s not the end of the world.  At some point you have to realize the truth – that they no longer care or never did, and that maybe you’re wasting your time and missing out on someone else who does.
  5. Old wounds and grudges. – You will never find peace until you learn to finally let go of the hatred and hurt that lives in your heart.  In order to move on, you must know why you felt the way you did, and why you no longer need to feel that way.  It’s about accepting the past, letting it be, and pushing your spirit forward with good intentions.  Because nothing empowers your ability to heal and grow as much as your love and forgiveness.  Read Buddha’s Brain.
  6. Superficial judgments. – We don’t know most people half as well as we believe we do; and truly knowing someone is a big part of what makes them attractive.  Every human being is beautiful; it just takes the right set of eyes to see it.  The more you mature, the more you will be able to look beyond another person’s appearance and see the beauty of who they really are.
  7. Letting small disagreements snowball out of control. – Don’t let a single poisonous moment of misunderstanding make you forget about the countless lovable moments you’ve spent together.  If you’re angry at someone you love, hug them and mean it.  You may not want to hug them, which is all the more reason to do so.  It’s hard to stay angry when someone shows that they love you, and that’s precisely what happens when we hug each other.
  8. Showing a lack of self-respect. – Decide this minute to never again beg anyone for the love, respect, and attention that you should be showing yourself.  Be your own best friend.  Trust your inner spirit and follow your instincts.  Be the person you will be happy to live with for the duration of your life.  Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of passion and possibility into a blaze of victories.  Read The Untethered Soul.
  9. Thinking that now is the wrong time. – This isn’t the wrong time and place, because you can make it the right time and place.  Today is the first day of a new beginning – the conception of a new life.  The next nine months are all yours.  You can do with them as you please.  Make them count.  Because a new person is born in nine months.  The only question is: Who do you want that person to be?

spiritual happiness.

But why try to find happiness through spiritual life? Isn’t modern materialistic civilization all about attaining peace and happiness? We build great skyscrapers, fast cars and miles of freeways. We have paid vacations, TV sets, free hospitals and sick leave, Social Security and welfare benefits. Government, planning commissions and scientific research are all aimed at providing some measure of peace and happiness. Yet the rate of mental illness climbs steadily, and the crime rates rise even faster. The streets are crawling with unstable individuals, and road rage is increasing. This materialistic civilization is not working; in fact, it is collapsing. A happy man does not feel driven to kill his family and himself just because he loses his job or house; yet this happening with increasing frequency even in our ‘advanced’ materialistic civilization.

We like to hold the conceit that Western society is exploiting every area of human knowledge to provide peace and happiness. But we are only beginning to realize that we have overdeveloped the material aspect of existence at the expense of the deeper emotional and spiritual aspects, and now we are paying a heavy price for that strategic error.
It is easy to complain about the degeneration of moral and spiritual fiber in America and the world today, but the real task is to do something about it. The only place to start is within ourselves. Look carefully inside, truly and objectively, and you will see moments when you are irrationally angry, or passionately believe in something that you find out later is completely untrue. When you learn to see those moments as they are—see them clearly, cleanly and without condemnation—then you will be on your way up and out of the disease of material consciousness.

You can’t make radical changes in the pattern of your life until you drop your filters, drop your identifications and habitual judgments, and allow yourself to see yourself exactly as you are. As soon as you do that, changes flow naturally. You don’t have to force or struggle to obey rules dictated to you by some authority. You just change automatically, improving by the power of consciousness itself.
But arriving at a realistic view of yourself is quite a task. You must drop all pretension, all self-serving justification and rationalization, and really see who you are and how you are, without illusion, judgment or resistance of any kind. You must see how you function as a social being and the effect you have on those around you. You must see your duties and obligations to your fellow human beings, and above all, your responsibility to yourself as an individual spiritual living being. And you’ve got to see all of that clearly and as a unit, a single gestalt of interrelationship. It sounds complex, but this insight often occurs in a single instant. The result of achieving this insight is deep understanding and serene happiness.

The ancient Esoteric Teaching anticipated Freud and other psychologists by thousands of years. It says: “What you are now is the result of what you did in the past. What you will be tomorrow will be the result of what you do now. The consequences of an evil mind will follow you, like the cart follows the ox that pulls it. The consequences of a purified mind also will follow you as inevitably as your own shadow. No one can do more for you than your own purified mind. A well-disciplined mind brings happiness.” The spiritual process of meditation purifies the mind, just like bathing regularly purifies the body. And it prevents disease in the same way as bathing does. It cleanses the thought process of the spiritual infections that keep you snarled up in emotional bondage. It brings a state of tranquility and awareness, a state of concentration and insight.

In our society, we believe that knowledge makes a cultured person civilized. Material civilization, however, only polishes the personality superficially. Subject an ordinary educated and sophisticated gentleman to stresses of war or economic collapse, and see what happens. It is one thing to obey the law because you know the penalties and fear the consequences; it is something else entirely to obey the law because you have cleansed yourself from the greed that would make you steal, and the hatred that would make you kill. Civilization changes man superficially, on the outside. Meditation softens him within, melts him through and through, and transfigures him into a higher state of consciousness.

Meditation is the cleansing crucible fire that slowly purifies the soul from ignorance through understanding. The greater your understanding, the more flexible and tolerant you can be, the more compassionate you can be. You become like a perfect parent or an ideal teacher; you are ready to forgive and forget. You feel love towards others because you understand them, and you understand others because you have understood yourself. You have looked deeply inside, seen your own illusion and your own human failings. You have seen your own humanity and learned to forgive and to love yourself. Once you have learned compassion for yourself, compassion for others is automatic. An accomplished meditator has achieved a profound understanding of life, and while seeing life realistically for what it inevitably is, he also relates to the world with deep and uncritical love.

Meditation is a lot like cultivating a piece of land. To make a field out of a forest, first you have to clear the trees and pull out the stumps. Then you till the soil and fertilize it. Then you sow your seed, irrigate the field and remove the weeds, and then you harvest your crops. Similarly, to change your consciousness, first you have to clear out the various irritants that are in the way, pull them right out by the root so that they won’t grow back. Then you fertilize, pumping energy and discipline into the mental soil. Then you sow the seed and you harvest your crops of faith, morality, spiritual consciousness and wisdom.

Faith and morality, by the way, have a special meaning in the context of authentic spiritual life. The Esoteric Teaching does not advocate faith in the sense of believing something because it is written in a book, attributed to a prophet or taught to you by some authority figure. Of course we have books and teachers, but what we mean by faith is the confidence born of direct personal experience. It is knowing that something is true because you have seen it work, because you have observed that very same thing within yourself. In the same way, morality is not a ritualistic obedience to some exterior, imposed code of behavior, but a deep sense of knowing what is right based on insight and compassion.

The purpose of authentic spiritual life is personal growth and transformation. The person that goes into the experience of meditation is not the same person who comes out the other side. Authentic meditation changes your character by a process of sensitization, by making you deeply aware of your own thoughts, words and deeds. Your arrogance evaporates and your antagonism dries up. Your mind becomes still and calm, and the ups and downs of your life smooth out. Thus properly performed meditation reduces tension, fear, and worry. Restlessness recedes and passion moderates. Things begin to fall into place and your life becomes a glide instead of a struggle. Meditation sharpens your concentration and thinking power. Then little by little your subconscious motives and mechanics become clear to you. Your intuition sharpens. The precision of your thought increases, and gradually you come to a direct knowledge of things as they really are, without prejudice and without illusion. All this happens through understanding, insight and transcendental knowledge.

So is all this reason enough to bother with meditation and spiritual life? Scarcely. These are just promises, words on paper. There is only one way you will ever know if meditation and spiritual life are worth the effort: make up your mind to do it, learn from an expert how to do it right, then do it and experience the benefits yourself.

A World in Confusion

A World in Confusion Cultivating Inner Clarity
by Madisyn Taylor

When the world is in chaos,
we can still have our own inner peace
and maintain a sense of calm in sea of unrest.

People who maintain their sense of calm when things around them are in a state of flux and confusion are always wonderful to be around. We feel calmer just being near them, as if they have activated our own sense of inner peace. From them we learn that we can be calm, even when everything around us is in turmoil, because we know that no matter what happens, this inner sense of calm will help us to function well. Often, times of confusion are the times that enable us to find that part of ourselves that knows how to cope, and how to be a light to others in the storm.

If we allow ourselves to be thrown off balance by every piece of disturbing news that comes our way, we may be relying too much on our emotions. On the other hand, our thoughts may also be unreliable at times like these, as they chatter on endlessly about what might happen next. If our feelings and thoughts activate one another in a hectic way, then we become caught up in the confusion that surrounds us. However, if we can locate the stillness at the center of our hearts, we can find composure in almost any situation. In addition, we provide a safe place for our friends and family, who are also prone to taking on the confusion of a world in flux.

It helps to remember that we don’t need to completely understand what’s happening right now, nor do we need to be able to predict the future. Most of us just want to find our way to being at peace with whatever happens, and we can find this peace inside. Cultivating our inner clarity with meditation, journaling, and reading words that inspire us, will lead us to that place inside us that’s already there, just waiting.

The sovereign cure for worry is prayer
William James, The Father of Psychology

We have many diverse names and spiritual beliefs that express the Divine. We are all manifestations of the Creator throughout Creation. As John in his gospel expressed, “God is Love.”There is only one kind of Love. As Love is expressed through different individuals in different situations, it appears as though there are many kinds of Love, many levels and intensities. Love is the same and from the same Source in its multitude of expressions.

Love has been segregated, dissected, and disintegrated into many types: friendship, romance, maternal, paternal, patriotic, etc. This reflects the mind’s attempt to reduce, compartmentalize, and categorize love; and this separates it from the heart. Herein lies the mind’s attempt at disintegration. When the mind excludes the heart, unity with Oneness, and the experience of love is curtailed. This is the mind’s reductionism in its attempt to reduce fear through intellectual certitude. The illusions that are created by any of us assuming that our knowledge is complete, creates a vacuum in the heart. The fullness of our being is no longer orchestrated by our Spirit and the Creator when we do so. This is the real danger for all of us when we arrogantly see ourselves as the best or only expert merely because of our training or knowledge base. St. Paul clearly points out this illusion when he says, “if you have all the knowledge of everything, but have not Love, you have nothing at all.”

As we feel the connection of the Divine within, then we become conscious of Love. When we feel the Love within, we are able to give it to the world and we no longer are desperately driven to seek it in the world. With this realization, we also may feel that Love reflected back to us from the world. This detachment is unconditional Love. Our existence and all creation in the Universe bear witness to Love. Love is simply there. We each decide how much we want to consciously participate in it.

Love is synergistic. It is a blending,
a harmonious symphony of our Spirit
expressing itself, through mind and body.
Our conscious participation in Love integrates
and balances our awareness that we are Spirit.
We cannot separate ourselves from Love.

We can attempt to exclude it from our consciousness, but it remains there. Any exclusion sets up cascades of disequilibria and imbalance in our perceptions of whom we ourselves are, who each other are, and the interconnectedness of all the diverse life and forms of being in existence. Any perception of separation distorts mind, body, & Spirit connectedness and narrows perception in a linear fashion. In this state of mind, we selectively attend to merely the physical aspects of this world. The mind, in this limited state of consciousness, views everything as disconnected. It begins to distort by magnifying negative details as it loses its perception of the interrelationship between all things. Any glimpses of the “big picture” are lost.

The mind without the Heart, can deny the natural experience that we are connected to the Divine and one another. It creates its own false security as it limits itself to constructs rather than expansive experience. Simply put, the mind begins to worship itself, rather than experience the Creator within. The mind becomes clouded surrounding itself with itself as it attempts to block the radiance of love in and through all of us. Though there may be clouds in front of the sun, the sun, nonetheless, is always shining.

Divine Love, that we all can participate in through prayer, meditation, and loving intentional service and therapies, does harmonize the bodies and minds of our fellow human beings. As St. Francis prayed, “Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,” we all may be utilized as instruments to one another in the conscious healing of our species. As we evolve, prayer and meditation will become essential to all health care, as guiding expressions of Love. They are just as important as the actual medical or other noetic interventions, and these too can be expressions of Love.

Prayer and meditation are the avenues of conscious reconnection to the Divine Love in us all. A study completed by Duke University, showed that prayer deeply impacted patients who underwent angioplasty for coronary blockages. The study was double blind, meaning that neither patients nor staff knew who was being prayed for. In the same study, another set of patients undergoing the same procedure, received noetic therapy (guided imagery, touch therapy, or relaxation therapy.) The names of the patients to be prayed for by various religious sects, were E-mailed to Jerusalem, Buddhist monasteries in Nepal and France, Carmelite nuns in Baltimore, Fundamentalists, Moravians, Baptists and Unitarian groups.

Comprehensive physiological monitoring during and after the procedure, showed that the patients, who were prayed for by the 7 religious sects, did 50-100% better than patients who were not prayed for by these groups. In the noetic therapy group, there was a lesser, but 30-50% trend of improvement. Perhaps the difference in improvement between the two groups can be accounted for by the principle that “when we let go and let God,” we are more connected to a patient’s real needs, than when we attempt to standardize the intervention. Spirit doesn’t make any mistakes as it guides the mind, and the mind in turn guides the body. More research studies will be necessary to decipher scientifically, that this is the case. What is important from the study, is that both the groups prayed for, and groups receiving noetic therapies, did better than those who received only the medical intervention of angioplasty (catheterization.) Susanne Crater, the nurse in this catheterization study, stated that the results were dramatic enough, “to change my practice. It is possible to bring a calming, healing space into a hospital, which can sometimes seem cold and sterile.”

Everyone in health care, or service to anyone, must realize that what we do to others we do to ourselves. In health care, it is particularly important to treat the patients with reverence as we wish to be treated ourselves. This allows the channels of Love (that accelerates healing) to flow. As the Love flows, then we have the direct experience of the Creator within us. In this way, we are Divine instruments and we become one with those we serve, and realize that we are not separate from one another or the Divine.

As we already know through our experience, and this study, Love is not bound by distance, time, or space. It permeates even the most sterile environments, if only hearts are open to receive it. This intention and some level of open acceptance, consciously or unconsciously, are all that is required to participate in Divine Love. It is within all of us, and can be shared with One another. Divine love is witnessing itself through all creation, service to One another, and in each moment of this,… existence.

Finding Peace In Unstable Times

Finding Peace In Unstable Times

by: Deborah Fairfull

source:

http://www.finerminds.com/happiness/peace-unstable-times/

In this article, guest author Deborah Fairfull, talks about some difficult experiences in her life and how she overcame these and found inner peace

When you are surrounded by financial doom and gloom, natural disasters and riots — it is easy to feel negative and uncertain about the future. However this is exactly the time you need to dig down deep inside yourself and tap into your inner strength. This wise, all knowing part of yourself has the ability to transform your life into one that is fulfilling, peaceful and harmonious.

During my life I have experienced many challenging times. The one thing I have discovered without exception, is that when I have been able to accept my current situation it has allowed me to relax, tap into my internal wisdom and my life has begun to flow once more.

Some of my personal challenges have included:

  • Starting up two different businesses, and being faced with challenging cashflow situations that have threatened my survival. By tapping into my inner strength and resourcefulness, I was able to overcome my cashflow problems and create viable businesses that I was able to later sell.
  • Being forced to sell the family home due to economic pressure. This led me on a path of discovery in relation to my internal world. This gave me the courage to work with my true passions paving the way to the joy of expressing my true gifts and talents. This is a different kind of joy, with more depth than the joy I’d experienced before—even though I was in a better financial situation. These discoveries allowed me to rebuild my life in a meaningful and stable way as my life is a reflection of my heart, rather than reacting to external circumstances.
  • Separating from my husband of 15 years whom I had shared three wonderful children with. We reunited four years later, just in time for our 20th wedding anniversary. This journey taught me a lot about learning to see beyond each other’s defenses and instead, appreciate the light and beauty within each other.

I used my tumultuous, unstable times as alchemy for inner peace so I could learn to experience inner stability despite what was going on around me. At the time I couldn’t understand why all these challenging things were happening to me, but I now appreciate them for the gift that they were.

How Do You Find Peace In Unstable Times?

1) Make peace with your past. Worrying over and reliving the past can take you away from enjoying the present, feeling stuck and prevent you flowing with life.

2) Make your mind your friend. Your mind takes you away from your peace by creating worry and stress. Becoming aware of your thoughts, belief and attitudes helps you to transcend a fearful mind and instead create a life that is loving and stable.

3) Your reactions are like gold. A reaction occurs when someone behaves aggressively (fight) or withdraw (flight) in a pressurized situation rather than responding from their empowered self.

However, if you are able to sit with the uncomfortable feeling that the reaction induces, rather than blaming the other person, you will heal that automatic survival response as you tap into a power greater than the reaction. You need to feel it to heal it. Next time you are in a similar situation, chances are you will not let the external circumstance take you away from your peace.

4) Let your intuition be your guide. Your intuition is like your personal GPS designed to guide you safely through life. It is your inner voice of wisdom that knows exactly what is right for you.

However it is common that we override our intuition and do what we “should” do, driven often by a fearful mind. If we make decisions based on anxiety and stress often they are not the very best decisions we can make for ourselves. When you calm your mind you are better equipped to listen to your intuition and create a life that is more flowing and peaceful.

5) Live your life on purpose. It is very hard to be truly happy if you are not expressing your natural talents or taking steps towards this. Sometimes some of life’s greatest challenges such as being retrenched can be life’s greatest gift as it opens up new doors, allowing you to step into what it is you truly love to do. If you look forward to going to work you know you are on the right path.

When you face or have faced challenging times sometimes it is easy to fall into the illusion that something is wrong with you. That you are wrong, damaged or not good enough in some way. This is the ego trying to strengthen its grip.

However, if you can remind yourself that despite any hurts you have been through you are always a divine loving individual you will be able to find that inner peace at the worst of times. When we learn to love, no matter how badly people may have treated us, we step into our true power. This gives us true strength and stability, and we remain stable and balanced despite what is going on around us.

If you’ve gone through particularly challenging experiences in your life, tell us how you overcame these and found the strength and peace within to move forward.

forever is a place.

i will always remember this day
when time is endless and no words to say
i am blessed to have felt this way…
love never left… it always stays…
and thats when
forever becomes a place.

i want to hold you and stay with you
and shower you with a love so true
you are a blessing… i am blessed too
we love a love that they cannot erase
and that is why,
forever is our place.

lighthead.

i’ve been feeling very lightheaded and intoxicated the past few days.. couple of weeks. especially after drawing and writing about it. i literally float out of my body and could fly… one person said she could feel my inner peace through my drawings… and she knows i am grounded. i told her that yes, internally, my cup is so full that it is overflowing and the only way to keep filling it up is through sharing it with others…. i am loved and i am a loving person. i am blessed with a good heart and kindness that i wish to impart with others. i may have cut ties and burned bridges the previous weeks but now i know that they were essential to my journey because they hinder me from my growth. i wish they would understand that sometimes it takes a lot to be a part of my life and if i feel being cornered and judged, i cannot allow that in my life.
other than that, i am a person. first and foremost and i am intoxicatingly enjoying every minute of my extraordinary journey of the life that i chose to live. a magical and seriously way out of this world life that i cannot put my two cents on. it simply just is ….

life is great.love is all that i could ever need and i know, He up there is doing everything He can to get me through where i needed to be, to do …

life simply is anything but ordinary. but in order to live a very extraordinary life, we have to give up alot of things that make it ordinary. give up alot of people that make life mundane. i firmly believe in my heart and soul that we were brought here for a higher cause and not just to do ordinary stuff and be secure and yet still be unhappy and discontented… and disconnected..

life rocks! big time… and it rocks even more when you have love inside your heart. :-)

life can be
a little close to formality
that we cannot
live alot.

and rebel from what is seen
to be right even if
it may cause some rift
as long as you go for the shift.

the shift to be higher
and stronger than you
to unleash all your power
to be nothing but true.
freedom to love and to create
the love that people love to berate
let it go and just be
true to your core
regardless of the freakin’ formality
they didn’t know there is so much more….
take the plunge… do the dive
let it go… be sooo alive.

catching up.

when we were young,
all we wanted was to grow up
it was a song the heart sang
and it never stopped.
and now that we’ve grown
we live a life we’ve never known….
we meet people an lose them
others we keep, some we grow apart
but the best friends we’ll always keep
are the ones who touched us too deep..
———

bliss.

life is
precious…
it can’t
be that serious..
just breathe in
breathe out…,
feel what isn’t seen..
believe without a doubt.
that life is lived
and there is so much to give..
close your eyes…
release the havoc
….
swing back and forth
in a hamock
….
sing your inner peace..
and be in a natural state of bliss…

i am loved. i have love
i have everything blessed from above
joy that i cannot hoard
so i try to spread it all over the world.
the world that i am sitting on
will live forever long after i’m gone.
this is all too real…
i laugh, i cry.. and i feel
i know love is all we could ever have
and there arent enough words…
with love…
i am sitting on top of the world.

a few days ago, i was trying to figure out what to do with the gifts i am blessed with. i had a hard time figuring it out. i cannot start with the UNMASKED project because that is alread the … Continue reading

discernment.

i am currently loving all the unexpected gifts i am blessed with. i know this has got to take me somewhere — big. but… lately, i keep discovering all these wonders inside that lay dormant for years and i feel like there is still so much in store for me. i also feel that the realisation of my dreams is really near. how to go about it, i don’t know… i just ride with the tide, i don’t drive. sometimes, it can be frustrating but nevertheless, surprisingly calm. even if the external aspect of my life isn’t as peaceful as it should be… [ i could totally say --- true test of peace...]

i am a multitasker. and if there is one thing i like… it is mixing and fixing everything altogether in one. so… i made a list of my “gifts” and the not so wanted character. i like the production part better… it is actually the managing slash routine that is dreadful to me.

for the book – i know that is where i am heading… only i am still not getting the right signal for that. in my heart, that is where i am truly headed. for my ego, i wish to make a big bang explosion when i am launching it… that is my soul. and that is me NAKED in front of everyone. until such time. the timing isn’t ripe yet. it is meant to help others with self improvement, empowerment,….. too much info. :–)

for the dried flowers: i have learned patience, — and the theme of my life: finding beauty in all that is not. so that is also part of me. i like the “vintage-y” feel around. i like all things classic, romantic, ….makes me remember all that i wish to be in..

posters: that is left brain and right brain with my self improvement student and frustrating friend i wish to rise above all the experiences she went through… which is the same as mine. but have not gotten around to it. oh but how she makes me “human” sometimes…. its just a matter of time, and we will combine our “charm” to make something really out of this world in our own little world ….
gosh sabrina— hurry up and ascend a D higher please! let’s rock their world!

printabilities: oh, my only window to creativity when i was with my husband… gift tags and calling cards.

photography: i bought a camera to source out my “window” when i was with my husband. -believe you me, i couldn’t write a decent poem until our beloved pet died. and since i didn’t know i could MAKE pictures then, i decided to take them. probably also because i would rather take pictures because i am supposed to be lighter by a 100lbs. and how i used to love my pictures taken when i was 100lbs lighter… [yeah...vanity is my favorite sin] – but to justify that -  i used to love myself from OUTSIDE IN.

doodles/drawing: this is actually the best thing to ever happen to me— for now. because never in my wildest dream i could draw! i am so ecstatic. i used to visualize my book when i was little that the pictures were hand-drawn. but instead opted for photographs since its too impossible for me to have to draw it. nevertheless, wow…. it is all coming together now. :-)

cooking: i do small orders from friends and yes, i too can cook. anything!
— except pastries…. too much rules for me. and i can’t break it. and it has to be timed at a certain degree… oh — i can’t do it. NOT YET i suppose.

——-

so basically, i need extra help in prayers for discerning what it really is. this is what is mind boggling. i know my purpose. i know the end of it all. it is just basically to be able to give hope to non believers of true love.. and each one of us… we start within ourselves. and when we have learn to love ourselves, we can sit quietly with ourselves… we love our own company…. and when we can finally sit quietly alone, then true love can peacefully be with us. [lets face it, if we can't be alone with ourselves, if we dislike our own company.... what makes us think others can too?]
it is just a matter of time. i am blessed with deep knowing and clear seeing (even if at times i challenge it, it smacks me right in front of my face… oh, that is probably why we both kept saying let us work on ourselves. ] ohhh!!! NOW…. [another aha moment!]

its a labyrinthine life i am living and i cannot wait to be in the center. :-) with HIM and him.

Prayer:

Thank You Lord for making my life worth living. For helping me find meaning and making me see our purpose very clearly. i ask You not to shield me from any chances that may make me grow and be the best i can be but to give me strength and make me UNSHAKEABLE to rock their worlds for the better….

Continue to bless my kids with such understanding of the whole situation and let them open their hearts to know YOU more too.. and give their lives meaning and purpose too.

Lead me to the right people to know that i am headed in the right direction…. and I am grateful for all the random grace that You continually make me see. LEt me ROCK this life to Your liking. :-) coz YOU rock.

and let him lead with his heart through your wisdom. and make him FEARLESS too. :-) and believe in himself the way he does with me and the way i do with him. :-)

PS. i hope you don’t mind that i hardly hear mass.

“I [will] AM capable of loving,
regardless of whether I AM LOVED [in return]
Of giving even when I have nothing
Of WORKING HAPPILY even in the midst of difficulties
Of HOLDING out my hand, even when utterly alone and abandoned,
Of DRYING MY TEARS, even while I weep,

i now truly believe, that we would always have other loves. other lovers, other partners. but true love is deeply engraved inside our hearts. that no matter how hard we try to erase it, it would only scar us even more. even if we polish our hearts, sooner or later, it will still stale and the scars we tried to wipe off will always show. true love is engraved in us. there is no running away from it. because then, it will only leave us feeling alone …in a world where we thought would be enough to compensate for the love we have always looked for all throughout our lives… Continue reading
